Equipment
Equipment was chosen after careful research and consideration.

The entire signal chain was evaluated for the cleanest possible sound.

The second link in the chain (the first being the rooms), Microphones, were/are selected for the most accurate sound and the lowest self-noise.

The third link is the preamplification of the mics and the conversion from analog to digital. The Tascam DM-3200 digital mixing console was chosen for its great sounding preamps, as well as its many other features, including moving-fader automation.  Additional preamps include a Presonus ADL 600 tube preamp and dbx 576 tube pre/compressor.

The fourth link, recording, cannot be overlooked. For this, Cubase SX3 was chosen for its sound, features, unlimited tracks*, and stability.

Effects were carefully chosen as well: Universal Audio for incredible reverb, compression, limiting and more, and EQ and dynamics from Solid State Logic.
* Dependant on CPU and active Plug-Ins/Effects. Both Duende and our Universal Audio effects use outboard DSP (processing) for maximum horsepower!
